Hoping to record some new music, the band Triton travels to an isolated farmhouse in Ontario, Canada, unaware that it is inhabited by murderous demons. Along for the trip are some of the band members' significant others, John's girlfriend Randy, Roger's new wife Mary, and Stig's girlfriend Lou Anne. Although some are disappointed at the lack of a television and other distractions, the band quickly begins to record new songs.

The film focuses on the Orinoco River in Venezuela, where a strain of genetically modified piranha have escaped into an isolated tributary of the river. Through human interference of the local environment, the megapiranha manage to escape from their isolated spot and swim downstream, killing all that cross their path. The megapiranha gradually make their way towards Florida at the height of the tourist season.
After fleeing Australia, Jennifer takes a job as a nanny in the Netherlands. Her employer eventually discovers her true identity and that she is a fugitive. Looking for a way to quickly leave Amsterdam, she attempts to bluff her way onto a tour bus.
After the final stage of human testing goes horribly awry, the test subjects of the fictional pharmaceutical company N-Gen become violently ill. As the side effects worsen, the test subjects become increasingly violent until they are little but marauding beasts. Worse yet, their bites are infectious and in short order London is overrun with hordes of bloodthirsty monsters.
The story begins in 1957 in the star-filled skies above California's Mojave Desert. It is a special night for noted astronomer Ted Lewis, who is preparing a special anniversary dinner with steaks for his beautiful, adoring wife Lana while observing the annual meteor shower of the Perseids. In another part of town, Tammy, a waitress at a small local diner with big plans for the future, looks out her window and is excited to see a shooting star, which she takes as a good sign for her dreams.
Television reporter April Carson turns to the services of private investigator Isaac Beaumonde to find her missing sister, a stripper known as Gigi Spot. Carson assumes a role in a horror movie in the process, eventually learning that the director, Able Whitman, is not only the culprit, but that he has rendered her sister's body into props. Whitman requires more "props" for his film, meaning more body parts, which in turn requires a killing spree.
In a cabin by Cutter's Creek, bank robbers Denise, Vale, and Paulie are murdered by an axe-wielding serial killer known as the Axeman. Later, a group of friends led by Brian arrive at a nearby cabin. After settling in, Brian mentions that the reason he got the cabin for such a low price is because it supposedly once belonged to a family that was massacred by the Axeman.
Mary (Christie Burke), in her first pregnancy, gives birth to twins. However, only one of them survives. Mary then starts showing postpartum depression symptoms, and becomes convinced that an evil entity wants to take her surviving baby.
Unmarried professional Kate Davis is kidnapped by a shadowy organization known as 'The Brotherhood'. This organization believes her to be a direct descendant of Elizabeth Báthory and claim to be part of an ancient race that consumes blood in order to retain their youth and strength. They have taken her to a hospital-like compound where they clinically 'bleed' brainwashed and hypnotised humans and harvest and consume their blood.
At the Bodega Bay Inn in Bodega Bay, California, rogue agent Maclain reads André Toulon's diary, hoping to find the secret to the formula, but the diary bursts into flames. She travels down to the basement, finding a man, Eric Weiss, talking to the last Toulon puppets: Blade, Pinhead, Jester, Tunneler and Six-Shooter. Weiss explains that he knew Toulon before he died, and that he swore he wouldn't pass it to anyone else.
In his remote jungle hideout, the evil Dr. Fu Manchu, with his sadistic daughter Lin Tang, has discovered a deadly venom in a "lost city" in the Amazonian jungle that affects only men. Women can become carriers of the "kiss of death" by being bitten by venomous snakes.
On a small island off the coast of Belize, Jackson Slate is forced, by the local crime kingpin, Tariq to dive for lost Mayan gold in the Great Blue Hole. Jackson and two other divers detonate explosives at the bottom of the hole to find the gold, although the ensuing explosion knocks Jackson unconscious and releases a prehistoric, amphibious tyrannosaurus, into the water, which kills the two other divers, as well as Tariq's guard on the surface. Meanwhile, the couple, Rod and Jane are on vacation on the island, and are taken to the hole by boater Henry to go snorkeling.
When the villagers of Kleinschloss start dying of blood loss, the town fathers suspect a resurgence of vampirism, but police inspector Karl Brettschneider remains skeptical. Scientist Dr. Otto von Niemann visits a patient who was attacked by a bat, Martha Mueller.
Zakes and his girlfriend Beth are travelling along the M1 motorway at night, bickering over their strained relationship. While Beth is asleep, a truck overtakes Zakes and its tailgate momentarily slides up, revealing a naked woman, bound and bloodied in a cage, screaming for help. He calls the police but cannot provide a number plate as it is covered in dirt.
A college football team's plane crashes in the Himalayas. The survivors, consisting of Sarah, Peyton, Ravin, Ashley, Dennis, Kyra, Rice, Andrew, and Garcia, have only three energy bars for food. Finding a trail of blood, Garcia and Andrew find a cave that turns out to be the Yeti's lair.
Christine, who is about to marry Steven, decides to hold her bachelorette party in Las Vegas with her friends Olivia, Claire, and Barbara. Christine's foster mother bids farewell to her daughter, then bludgeons a bound and gagged man with a hammer. After the party, Christine's group begins driving back to Chicago in an RV, and it is revealed that Christine has a troubled past and an unspecified mental illness, which has caused her to carve inverted crosses into her abdomen.
A SWAT team barges into a school library to find a student holding an axe and surrounded by savaged bodies, before the film goes back eight hours previously. Six unruly prep school students are forced to serve Saturday detention for eight hours at Crestview Academy, where psychologist Dr. Day conducts psychological testing on the students to examine their personalities and trigger their demeanors, recording each session in the process.
