The story
Antoine Mercier, recently laid off from his human-resources job, has spent the past two years as a stay-at-home father caring for his four children, often without much help because his wife Isabelle is busy working as a lawyer. As the strain begins to wear on him, the family plans a ten-day vacation in the mountains at Courchevel, and Antoine hopes for a chance to rest. But at the train station, Isabelle’s law firm calls her away, preventing her from joining the trip. Antoine must once again manage the holiday and the children on his own.

Antoine Mercier was laid off from his job as human resources director at a large home improvement chain. For the past two years, he has been a stay-at-home father, looking after his four children, often alone because his wife Isabelle is very busy with her work as a lawyer. Just as Antoine is beginning to find the situation unbearable, the whole family has planned a 10-day vacation in the mountains at Courchevel. Antoine thinks he will finally be able to rest. Unfortunately for him, while they are at the train station, Isabelle’s law firm calls on her, and she can no longer go away with her family. Antoine will once again have to spend 10 days alone with his four children.
