The story
In a world governed by strict rules, Cherry lives in an unconsummated marriage with her husband, Jerome. When Jerome leaves her alone for one hundred days to test her fidelity, he allows his friend Manfred to attempt to seduce her. Cherry is accompanied by her loyal maid, Hero. As the days pass, the two women must navigate the presence of Manfred and the looming deadline of the hundred-day trial. Amidst the tension, Hero shares forbidden stories that begin to change Cherry's perception of her life and the world around her.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Following a creation of the world by a god named Kiddo and the imposition of order by her father, Birdman, the story follows Cherry, who is in an unconsummated marriage with Jerome. To test her loyalty, Jerome allows his friend Manfred to attempt to seduce her for one hundred days. Cherry and her maid, Hero, share a secret code of stories to pass the time. As the deadline approaches, Cherry and Hero's bond deepens, and they are eventually tried for witchcraft and perversion. They are sentenced to death but choose to jump from the execution site, where they are transformed into constellations known as the Heroes, leading to the spread of storytelling among women.
