There they meet two women sunbathing in bikinis, learn they are underwear models, and arrange to meet them that evening at the upscale nightclub Spy. Marcel lies to Vicky that he has a night shift and reluctantly goes with Floh, but the friends are turned away at the door and struggle to get inside.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Two boys from Munich have been best friends since kindergarten, even though they are completely different: 19-year-old womanizer Floh and 20-year-old Marcel, who is doing civilian service and is in a steady relationship. On Saturday, Marcel celebrates his six-month anniversary with his girlfriend Vicky, whom he calls “Little Mouse.” When Floh was 16, his girlfriend at the time, Sandra, dumped him, and ever since he has wanted nothing more to do with love. On Saturday morning, Floh picks Marcel up to play soccer together. In a meadow, Marcel kicks the ball wide, and it lands on the bank of the Isar. On a gravel bar by the weir footbridge, he sees two women sunbathing in bikinis. He calls Floh over, and Floh strikes up a conversation with the women and learns that they are underwear models. They arrange to meet that evening at the trendy upscale nightclub Spy. Floh persuades a reluctant Marcel to come along. Marcel cancels his planned date with his girlfriend by lying to her that he has to work a night shift. But when they arrive at the club, they are turned away by Dennis, the bouncer. After several unsuccessful attempts, they try to get in through a ventilation shaft, but that fails too. Marcel wants to leave, but Floh wants to stay and persuades him to wait for the women in the parking lot. There, they meet a guy named Miami, who used to date Marcel’s sister. He first gives them a macho lecture about how to treat women and promises that he can get them into the club because he is a good friend of Dennis. But he soon turns out to be nothing more than a boastful windbag. On their next attempt to get past the bouncer, Floh is knocked down by a bouncer. Back in the parking lot, Marcel sees his girlfriend just as she is about to go into the club with another man. When he asks her about it, she explains that she had already studied at home for four hours and is now going out with Winston, an old acquaintance of hers, because Marcel supposedly had no time due to his night shift. Floh steals a drunk man’s car keys. Once the two are in the stolen car, they meet two underage girls, Caro and Steffi, and Floh offers to drive them home to Unterhaching. Marcel thinks this is a bad idea, since he wants to wait for his girlfriend and the two tipsy girls are at most 14 years old. But Floh persuades him again, saying they are going to have some fun with the girls. When Floh asks whether the girls’ parents mind them being out alone at four in the morning, Caro explains that she told her parents she was sleeping over at her friend Steffi’s. Steffi’s parents, however, are not home, and they have a basement recreation room with a bar. So Floh starts hoping something might happen. After Floh drives inattentively and at excessive speed along the country road, there is a loud crash, and the car veers off the road. The girls are horrified and accuse him of putting their lives at risk, so they continue on foot. Only then do the boys realize that they have run over and killed a dog. Marcel wants to call the police, but Floh reminds him that they are in a stolen car and persuades him to secretly bury the dog in the woods. Marcel has now had enough of his friend and runs off. When Floh tries to stop him, Floh hits him, and they go their separate ways. Marcel then calls his girlfriend, who explains that the acquaintance she went out with is gay and that there has never been anything between them. In the meantime, Floh meets Valeria, with whom he falls in love at first sight, and asks for her phone number. When he learns that she is desperately searching for her dog, he hides the fact that her dog is dead and that he is responsible for its death. At the S-Bahn platform, Floh runs into Marcel, and the two make up. The narrator finally reveals that they are still friends, that Floh called his Valeria, and that Marcel reconciled with his girlfriend and moved out of home two weeks later.
