Full plot (contains spoilers)

Adam, a film production assistant, is fired for asking the film’s star, Dirk Kowalski, for an autograph. He also finds himself in a difficult situation after crashing the crew’s motorhome. To raise the money, he asks his buddy Lukas to join him in taking a job as wedding videographers for their friend Marten. But the shoots, which were originally planned according to strict rules, descend into chaos. The brides’ parents get into an argument, and then Lukas has an affair with one of the bridesmaids. During an outdoor shoot intended to show a marriage proposal, the pony bolts and the bride ends up in the hospital, leading to an argument between the two aspiring filmmakers. As a last card up his sleeve, Lukas tracks down Marten’s long-lost grandfather in a nursing home and manages to record a message from him. After a police check reveals that the motorhome has been reported stolen—which Lukas had described as “borrowing”—Lukas has had enough and returns to his old job in advertising. By chance, he learns that Adam was fired solely for asking for the autograph. The two men manage to steal the motorhome back. They show up at Marten and Mila’s wedding and present a video that, to the guests’ delight, features lovely footage of the couple and the long-lost grandfather. In the end, they receive a string of new assignments.
