A desperate man steals instructions for a high-stakes job only to find himself forced into a deadly game of Russian roulette.

The story

Vincent "Vince" Ferro, in need of money, steals an envelope containing instructions for a well-paid job. He arrives at a secluded event where he is stripped and searched for surveillance equipment. The organizers accept him to replace a dead man for a series of Russian roulette games organized for the enjoyment of wealthy spectators. Participants, identified by numbers, must spin the cylinder of their revolvers and shoot when a light is switched on. Vince is forced to participate as #13, facing a series of rounds where the number of bullets in each gun increases, while spectators place bets on who will survive.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Vincent "Vince" Ferro steals instructions for a job and is forced to participate in a Russian roulette competition for wealthy spectators. In the first round, participants aim at the person in front of them; Vince survives as #13. In the second round, with two bullets per gun, he survives because the man behind him is killed first. In the third round, with three bullets per gun, he survives again. In the final round, Vince is chosen for a duel against another survivor. While other participants are finished and rewarded, an employee named Jimmy tries to steal a map of loot from a participant named Patrick Jefferson. Jefferson mocks Jimmy with a blank paper and burns the real map. Vince wins the duel, receiving $1,850,000. He stashes the money in a garbage can before being interrogated by police, then retrieves it and sends it to his family. However, Jasper Bagges, seeking revenge for the death of his brother Ronald and wanting the money, shoots Vince. Bagges escapes with the money bag, which only contains a toy. Before dying, Vince swallows the receipt to prevent the money from being traced.
