Seven months after a viral outbreak, a military-led effort to establish a safe zone in London is jeopardized by a breach of protocol.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Following the initial outbreak, a safe zone is established in London. Two siblings, Tammy and Andy, sneak out to find their mother, Alice, who is revealed to be an asymptomatic carrier. Their father, Don, becomes infected upon contact and causes a massive outbreak within the zone. A medical officer, Scarlet, and a sniper, Doyle, attempt to help the children escape as the military begins to use extreme measures to contain the virus. After a series of desperate maneuvers and a frantic flight through the London Underground, the children are eventually rescued and flown to France. The film concludes with a scene in Paris, where the virus is shown to have reached the city.
