A group of people who fake their deaths form a vigilante team to stage a coup against a ruthless dictator.
The story
Four years after witnessing the horrors of a brutal regime in the fictional Central Asian nation of Turgistan, American billionaire and philanthropist Magnet S. Johnson fakes his own death to form an anonymous vigilante squad. Known as One, he recruits five others to abandon their pasts and join his cause, each given a numbered nickname: Two, a spy; Three, a hitman; Four, a parkour runner and thief; Five, a doctor; and Six, a driver. They refer to themselves collectively as ghosts. The team operates in the shadows to take down criminals and terrorists that the world as a whole either cannot or will not pursue.

After the team's initial mission in Florence, Italy, where member Six is killed, One recruits a former Delta Force sniper, renamed Seven, to join the squad. The team's ultimate goal is to stage a coup d'état to topple the dictator Rovach Alimov in Turgistan and install his brother, Murat, as the new leader. The plot involves several high-stakes operations: assassinating Rovach's generals in Las Vegas, extracting Murat from a prison in Hong Kong, and a final confrontation on a yacht in the ocean. During the final stages, One chooses to save teammate Four over capturing the dictator. Following a successful revolution, Murat becomes president, and the team members part ways. The film ends with One and Seven in New York City, where Seven discards his weapon while One watches a woman and a young boy, implied to be his son.
