Full plot (contains spoilers)
Sixty-five million years ago on the planet Somaris, space pilot Mills crashes his ship, the Zoic, on Earth after an asteroid storm. He finds a young girl, Koa, as the only survivor among his passengers. To reach a nearby escape shuttle, he tells Koa her family is on the mountain. They journey through a prehistoric landscape, battling various dinosaurs like a pack of Lagosuchus and an archosaur. During the journey, they are separated by a rockfall, but eventually reunite and continue toward the shuttle. Upon reaching it, Mills reveals he lied about Koa's family; her sister Nevine died of illness. As they prepare to board, asteroid debris strikes, and they are attacked by a pair of Tyrannosaurus rex. After successfully fighting them off and defeating a pursuing archosaur, they escape in the shuttle just as the cataclysmic Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event occurs. The film ends with a montage showing the location of their escape evolving through the Ice Age to the present day.
