The story
After his car is clamped, David rents a 1994 Saturn SL with a unique GPS and meets Sarah, a woman who is skeptical of relationships. While traveling to a wedding, their paths cross again at a rest stop where they discover they both rented from the same unusual car company. When Sarah's car fails to start, David's GPS instructs him to pick her up. Full plot (contains spoilers)
David and Sarah embark on a surreal journey guided by a mysterious GPS in a 1994 Saturn SL. The GPS leads them through 'doors' into various locations: a lighthouse in Canada, an art museum where Sarah remembers her mother, and a high school where David relives a past performance. At a hospital, Sarah confronts her guilt over her mother's death while David comforts his father. They eventually reach a mountain overlook where they share a kiss, before arriving at a roadside billboard where they both face their past romantic failures. After a car accident, they spend a night at a Timely Inn. They are eventually dropped off at their respective homes, where they each experience a final moment with their parents. Ultimately, Sarah changes her mind and travels to David's home, where they confess their love and walk through the front door together.
