He travels with his friend Chérif and Édouard, their reluctant carpool driver. After Édouard damages his mother’s car in Die, repairs leave him stuck in town for at least a week. Full plot (contains spoilers)

Félix (Eric Nantchouang), who lives in a working-class neighborhood in the Paris region, meets Alma (Asma Messaoudene) at a summer party on the banks of the Seine. However, Alma is leaving the next day for a vacation with her parents at their house in Die, in the Drôme. Imagining that they could spend an idyllic vacation together, Félix decides to follow her without telling her. Accompanied by his friend Chérif (Salif Cissé), a student who works at a convenience store and comes up with an excuse to get a week off, he borrows two tents and books a carpool ride through BlaBlaCar. The driver, Édouard (Édouard Sulpice), a rather rigid young man who had expected to carpool with young women, is reluctant to take the two young men. Relations between the driver and his passengers are tense at first. Félix even teases Édouard by calling him “Kitten,” after the nickname his mother uses during a phone call on the way. When they arrive, Félix nevertheless persuades Édouard to drive through the center of Die before dropping them off at the campsite. While maneuvering down a narrow street, Édouard damages the car, which belongs to his mother. The vehicle is out of service for repairs for at least a week. Édouard is therefore forced to stay in Die instead of going to his mother’s, as planned, and claims that he is making the most of meeting up with student friends and the chance to go cycling in the area. Chérif offers him a place to sleep at the campsite in one of their tents. Since Félix insists on having a tent to himself, Chérif shares his tent with Édouard. When Félix calls Alma, she answers coldly and explains that she doesn’t like surprises. However, she agrees to meet him the next day. The meeting is not as charming as the one in Paris, and then the young woman injures her foot on the rocks when the two of them go swimming in the river. She gets treatment at a first-aid station from Martin, a lifeguard, and Félix becomes jealous because he thinks the two are flirting. The next day, Alma makes excuses to avoid seeing Félix until he spots her in the street that evening, even though she had claimed to be at home in bed. Meanwhile, Chérif meets Héléna, a young mother whose husband has been away for several days to get work underway on his future restaurant. He sometimes looks after her baby, Nina, when she wants to enjoy some of her vacation. Alma and her sister, Lucie, join Félix and Édouard for a canyoning trip led by Martin and his friend Nicolas. During a section that panics Alma, Martin helps her, and the young woman thanks him by jumping into his arms. This makes Félix and Lucie jealous and sets off a general brawl during which Édouard accidentally injures Nicolas. After this adventure, Alma openly ends her relationship with Félix. Félix tells Chérif that he wants to leave for Paris the next morning, but Chérif wants to keep enjoying his week in the Drôme. That evening, after a karaoke party with the campers, Chérif and Héléna spend the night together.
