After more than fifty years apart, former lovers Gerard and Emma reunite and rekindle their romance.
The story
Gerard and Emma were once madly in love, but they lost touch. Emma went on to marry Gerard’s best friend, and the former couple spent some fifty years apart. When they meet again, old feelings return and they fall in love once more, intensely reliving their first romance. As they each consider what their renewed relationship might mean for their future, they face the question of what will become of them.

When they were madly in love, Gerard and Emma lost touch, and Emma married Gerard’s best friend. After some fifty years apart, they meet again, fall in love with each other once more, and intensely relive their first love. After each of them has questioned what will become of them, they leave together for the French Riviera.
