A solitary boy helps a troubled teenage girl escape from the psychiatric clinic where his mother works.
The story
Paul, a solitary 12-year-old boy, meets Gloria, a teenager of about 15 who has recently become a patient at the psychiatric clinic where Paul’s mother works. He falls in love with her and comes to believe that she is in danger. Despite warnings from the adults around him, Paul helps Gloria escape from the clinic. The two run away together, leaving the adult world behind.

Paul, a solitary 12-year-old boy, meets Gloria, a schizophrenic teenager of about 15 who is a new patient at the psychiatric clinic where his mother works. Madly in love with this troubled yet radiant teenager, Paul believes Gloria is in danger and, despite the adults’ warnings, helps her escape from the clinic and runs away with her, far from the adult world...
