Agonie (2016)

On November 29, a young man kills his lover and dismembers her body. Her head, torso, and limbs are found in different garbage containers scattered throughout Vienna. There are no clues to the killer or his motives. The story that follows unfolds in parallel, telling the stories of 24-year-old Christian and 17-year-old Alex. Christian is the son of a single mother and a diligent law student; Alex is a daredevil and wannabe rapper who is always looking for trouble. But the young men do have one thing in common: both are deeply conflicted inside, and both have built a façade around themselves to meet the expectations of those around them. One, the son of a police officer, suspects he may be gay, would like to be more muscular, and tries to maintain a respectable appearance. The other is nearly crushed by the expectations of his social milieu and is deeply afraid of failure, but presents himself as distant and hardened. Both direct their pent-up feelings against themselves or others. In the end, one of the two will have committed a murder.
