The story

In the fictional Middle Eastern city of Agrabah, a street urchin named Aladdin lives a humble life with his pet monkey, Abu. When he discovers a magic lamp containing a powerful genie, he gains the ability to make three wishes. To win the heart of Princess Jasmine, who is seeking freedom from her sheltered royal life, Aladdin disguises himself as a wealthy prince. However, the villainous vizier Jafar is also hunting for the lamp, plotting to use its power to seize control of the kingdom.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Jafar, the royal vizier of Agrabah, seeks a magic lamp hidden in the Cave of Wonders. Princess Jasmine, seeking freedom, meets Aladdin, a kind-hearted street urchin. After Jafar captures Aladdin, he tricks him into retrieving the lamp from the cave. Aladdin finds the lamp and a flying carpet, but is trapped underground with the genie. Aladdin uses his wishes to become a prince and win Jasmine's heart, while Jafar plots to marry her and seize the throne. After a series of adventures, including a ride on a magic carpet, Aladdin reveals Jafar's plot. Jafar eventually steals the lamp and uses the genie's power to become a sorcerer. Aladdin eventually tricks Jafar into using his final wish to become a genie himself, trapping him in a new lamp. Aladdin then uses his final wish to free the original genie, and he and Jasmine are allowed to marry.
