The story

For three years, Alice Kingsleigh has been following her father's footsteps and sailing the high seas. Returning to London from China, she learns that her ex-fiancé Hamish Ascot has taken over his deceased father's company and plans to have Alice sign over her father's ship in exchange for her family home. Alice follows a butterfly she recognizes as Absolem, who was previously a caterpillar, and returns to Wonderland through a mirror. Alice is greeted by the White Queen, the White Rabbit, the Tweedles, Mallymkun, the March Hare, Bayard and the Cheshire Cat, who reveal that the Hatter is acting madder than usual because his family is gone.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Alice Kingsleigh, a sailor, returns to London to find her ex-fiancé attempting to seize her family's ship. She travels through a mirror into Wonderland to help the Mad Hatter, who is desperate to find his missing family. The White Queen sends her to the Castle of Eternity to consult Time. Although told that altering the past is impossible, Alice steals the Chronosphere and travels back in time. She encounters the Red Queen in the past and attempts to change her character, but her actions lead to a time paradox. After being briefly detained in a mental hospital in the real world, Alice returns to Wonderland and discovers the Hatter's family is trapped by the Red Queen. In the present, the Hatter is dying. Alice and the Hatter race to use the Chronosphere to fix the timeline. Alice successfully places the Chronosphere, resolving the paradox and reuniting the Hatter with his family. In the real world, Alice successfully keeps her ship and starts a new company with her mother.
