The story
In the Indian Ocean, a man awakens to find his boat flooded after colliding with a shipping container. With his navigation and communication systems damaged by saltwater, he must struggle to repair the vessel while facing an approaching tropical storm. After the storm hits, the boat is severely damaged, and he is forced to abandon ship in an inflatable life raft. Alone in the vast ocean, he must navigate using a sextant and manage dwindling supplies of food and water while attempting to signal for help.

After his boat is damaged by a shipping container and subsequently battered by a tropical storm, a man is forced into an inflatable raft. He survives for days, battling the elements and managing a dwindling supply of water and food. He eventually sends a message in a bottle and attempts to signal passing ships. During a desperate attempt to signal for help, a fire on his raft gets out of control, and he falls into the water. Just as he loses hope and prepares to give up, he spots a searchlight from a nearby vessel and swims toward the surface to be rescued.
