The story
During summer, young Salomé returns to her family’s village in the mountains of Trás-os-Montes for the holidays. What begins as a period of celebration and carefree relaxation is disrupted by her grandmother’s death. As the adults argue over the funeral, Salomé is haunted by her grandmother’s spirit. The grandmother was regarded as a witch in the village, adding an unsettling supernatural dimension to the family’s grief and disagreement.
