The story
In the futuristic, morbid city of Alpha City, Raphaela tries to shake off Frank, a rough, unhinged admirer who wants her at any cost and works as a pianist in a gaming arcade. She wants to meet new people rather than pursue a committed relationship, but Frank’s loneliness makes him brutally stop other men from approaching her. Then Raphaela meets an unnamed American hitman, who carries out attacks with his gang on city establishments, believing this is the only way to eradicate vice. She is drawn to him and hopes he can help her get rid of Frank.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
“Alpha City” is a futuristic, morbid city, a depraved Babylon of hopelessness. Amid its decadence, selfishness, and cold-heartedness lives the young Raphaela, who is pursued by the burly, rough, and unhinged Frank, because he wants the beautiful stranger at any cost. But Raphaela wants nothing to do with Frank, who, like Raphaela, is a creature of the night and also works as a pianist in a gaming arcade, and she tries to shake off her persistent admirer. She only wants to keep meeting new people and seems uninterested in a committed relationship, while Frank hopes to escape his own loneliness at Raphaela’s side and brutally puts a stop to any other men’s attempts to get close to her. Then she meets an unnamed American who earns his living as a hitman and carries out attacks with his gang on various establishments in Alpha City. He believes this is the only way to eradicate vice in Alpha City. Everything is different with him, and Raphaela is magically drawn to the tall “Lonesome Cowboy.” She also hopes that the American, who is not intimidated by Frank’s rough-and-ready aggression, will finally help her get rid of the irritating lovesick fool. In a large stadium, the inevitable confrontation between the two very different men takes place, ending in an orgy of gun violence that proves fatal for both.
