The story
At the White Horse Inn in picturesque St. Wolfgang, landlady Josefa Vogelhuber has married Leopold, her devoted head waiter, after giving up the lawyer Dr. Siedler, whom she adored. During a new season, a dashing officer arrives and catches Josefa’s interest. The situation grows more complicated when Dr. Siedler returns, along with other guests from the previous season. Josefa must reckon with the renewed attention and decide how to navigate the competing affections around her.

The story of the White Horse Inn landlady continues in picturesque St. Wolfgang, in the Salzkammergut region of Upper Austria. Josefa Vogelhuber had to give up the man she adored, the lawyer Dr. Siedler, and instead married Leopold, her head waiter, who had always worshipped her. But during the coming season, she takes in a dashing officer whom she likes very much and flirts with. Then, to make matters worse, her old love Dr. Siedler turns up again, and other guests from the previous season have also returned. Now Josefa has to choose between the three men around her; in the end, however, she stays with her loyal husband Leopold, knowing what she has in him.
