Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a public mishap with the engagement ring, Jim Levenstein and Michelle Flaherty become engaged. Jim tries to keep the vulgar Steve Stifler away from the wedding, but Stifler crashes the engagement party and eventually joins the wedding party after agreeing to learn to dance. The group travels to Chicago to find a dress, where Stifler wins over a gay bar patron named Bear to provide strippers for the bachelor party. Back in Michigan, Stifler tries to act refined to win over Michelle's sister, Cadence, while Finch acts like Stifler. Jim struggles with pre-wedding jitters. A bachelor party surprise at Jim's parents' house goes awry when Michelle's parents find a bound Kevin in a closet. Wedding preparations in Grand Traverse County are plagued by disasters: Jim's pubic hair destroys the cake, his grandmother dislikes Michelle's lack of Jewish heritage, and Stifler feeds the ring to a dog. After a series of mishaps, Stifler works to repair the floral displays. At the ceremony, Michelle struggles with her vows but is helped by her father. Jim and Michelle marry, acknowledging their shared awkwardness. Stifler ends up having sex with Jim's grandmother in a closet, while Finch and Stifler's mother end up together in a hot tub.
