A documentary film crew in the Amazon rainforest encounters a legendary giant green anaconda.
The story
A documentary film crew travels into the Amazon rainforest to search for a long-lost indigenous tribe. The group, which includes a director, a cameraman, and an anthropologist, encounters a stranded snake hunter who claims he can help them find the tribe. However, the hunter reveals his true motive is to find and capture a legendary giant green anaconda he has been tracking. As the crew navigates the dangerous river, they find themselves caught between the treacherous environment and the predatory snake.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
While on the Amazon River, a film crew searching for the Shirishamas meets Paul Serone, a snake hunter. Serone takes control of the boat to hunt a giant green anaconda. The hunt leads to a series of deadly encounters: the snake kills the boat's skipper, and Serone lures the crew into a trap using a dead monkey as bait. During the attack, the snake kills several crew members, including Gary and Warren. Serone is eventually captured by the crew but later escapes and attacks them again, leading to the death of Denise. After a confrontation at a sawmill where Serone is swallowed by a second, larger female queen anaconda, the remaining survivors, Terri and Danny, manage to defeat the primary snake. They eventually reunite with the injured Dr. Cale and continue filming their documentary.
