Full plot (contains spoilers)
Childhood friends Doug, Griff, Kenny, and Claire travel to the Amazon to film a low-budget remake of 'Anaconda' after Griff claims to have secured the rights. They are joined by snake handler Carlos and Ana. After a mishap leads to the death of their tamer snake, they encounter a massive, murderous anaconda. Amidst the chaos, tensions rise as Doug focuses on Ana, who is revealed to be an illegal gold miner on the run. After a series of attacks and a confrontation with a rival film crew, the group is separated. Griff eventually finds a ruined set where the rival crew was slaughtered by the snake. Ana is killed by the beast, and Doug is briefly swallowed before escaping. The group eventually teams up with actor Ice Cube to fight the snake using pyrotechnics and explosives. They ultimately defeat the snake, though they are denied distribution by Sony. The film ends with Griff landing a TV role and Doug being invited by Jennifer Lopez to direct an authorized reboot.
