A team of researchers searching for a life-extending flower in the jungles of Borneo find themselves hunted by deadly giant anacondas.

The story

A team of researchers funded by a New York pharmaceutical firm travels to the tropical island of Borneo to locate the 'Perrinnia Immortalis,' also known as the Blood Orchid. They believe this rare flower contains a fountain of youth. Accompanied by a local guide and his partner, the group ventures into dangerous territory. However, their expedition takes a perilous turn when they are stalked and hunted by massive, deadly anacondas inhabiting the jungle. The team must navigate treacherous terrain and survive the predatory snakes while attempting to secure the valuable botanical prize.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

A team of researchers, including Gordon Mitchell, Dr. Jack Byron, Sam Rogers, Gail Stern, Cole Burris, and Dr. Ben Douglas, travels to Borneo to find the 'Perrinnia Immortalis' (Blood Orchid). Guided by Captain Bill Johnson and Tran Wu, the group faces immediate danger when their boat is destroyed and Ben is swallowed by an anaconda. After finding a village and evidence of snake activity, the group's cohesion fractures as Jack becomes increasingly obsessed with the orchid. Jack eventually turns psychopathic, paralyzing Gordon with a spider to keep him from interfering. After several team members are attacked or killed by anacondas, the survivors find Jack and his raft. Jack forces the others to help him reach the orchids, which grow above a mating pit of anacondas. During a tense confrontation at the pit, Jack is paralyzed by his own spider and devoured. The remaining survivors—Bill, Sam, Gail, and Cole—manage to escape a final, massive female anaconda by using a fuel container and a flare gun, which causes an explosion that destroys the snakes and the orchids. The survivors eventually escape toward Kota Bharu.
