When a group of babysitters and a young girl are trapped in a house filled with haunted artifacts, they must contain the evil of the Annabelle doll.

The story

After demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren sequester the demonic Annabelle doll in a secure glass case within their artifact room, the house remains a site of contained supernatural energy. One year later, while the Warrens are away investigating a case, their daughter Judy and a babysitter, Mary Ellen, are left at home. The situation escalates when a friend named Daniela arrives and accidentally opens the doll's case. This action releases the Annabelle demon and several other malevolent spirits, which begin to wreak havoc throughout the house, forcing the girls to find a way to reseal the evil before it is too late.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Following the containment of the Annabelle doll by Ed and Lorraine Warren, the doll is kept in a glass case in their artifact room. A year later, while the Warrens are away, their daughter Judy and babysitter Mary Ellen are at home with a friend, Daniela. Daniela, seeking to contact her late father's spirit, enters the artifact room and opens Annabelle's case, releasing the demon and other spirits like the Ferryman, the Bride, and the Black Shuck. These entities begin to haunt the house and attack the girls. Daniela becomes trapped and tormented, while Mary Ellen and Judy are hunted by the spirits. The girls eventually discover the doll in a locked closet and must transport it back to the artifact room. They face various obstacles, including a possessed Daniela and the interference of the demon. With the help of a ghostly priest acting as a guardian, they manage to place the doll back in its case. Although the demon initially prevents them from closing the door, a freed Daniela helps them lock it, causing the disturbances to cease. The Warrens return the next morning to find the house peaceful, and Lorraine offers a comforting message to Daniela.
