Full plot (contains spoilers)

Annie Frieding is convinced that her marriage has become stuck after sixteen happy years and wants to change that, while her husband Ralf sees things differently and ignores her wish to seek help from a therapist. During a wellness weekend with her friend Tine Konradi, Annie meets fitness trainer Raimund Adjey, and the two have a one-night stand. Some time later, Annie finds out that she is pregnant by Raimund. Believing in complete openness, Annie tells her husband Ralf about the affair and also confesses that it resulted in a pregnancy. Ralf feels blindsided, says he can’t stand being there any longer, and spends the night with their mutual friends, Tine and Nils Konradi. The next day, when Annie tells Ralf that she will definitely have the baby—she simply can’t have an abortion—and asks whether he can imagine raising it with her, this unconventional solution is too much for him, and the upshot is that he moves out. Annie, who works as a nurse at a fertility clinic, felt she had no other choice because every day she sees what couples will do to fulfill their wish for a child. To Annie’s great delight, the couple’s 15-year-old daughter, Cora, promises to support her. Annie decides at least to let Raimund know that she is expecting his child. She only wants him to know; she won’t make any demands of him. Annie also has a problem with her friend Tine, who has been trying everything with her husband for five years to get pregnant and cannot understand how Annie got pregnant on the first try. Suddenly, Raimund, who was fired because of his relationship with a guest, turns up at Annie’s door and spends the night in the guest room. He wants to take care of his child. When, following the arguments that ensue that morning, he says he is going to move in with a friend, Annie asks him to stay. This, in turn, leads to arguments with her daughter. Ralf has meanwhile filed for divorce and started a relationship with another woman, his colleague Sandra. Afraid that she might lose her daughter too if Raimund stays, Annie and Raimund decide that he will move out. In the end, however, Annie and Ralf find their way back to each other. After Annie gives birth, everyone celebrates together at a barbecue in the garden, to which Raimund and his new girlfriend are also invited. Annie and Raimund’s little son is the center of attention.
