The story
Five years after the first film, Stephanie Smothers, a famous true crime vlogger and author, is asked by her old friend Emily Nelson to be her maid of honor. Emily is set to marry Dante Versano, a wealthy man from a mafia-connected family in Capri. Despite the complexities of their past, Emily pressures Stephanie to accept, promising book sales while threatening legal action. Upon arriving in Capri with Stephanie's agent, the pair must navigate a tense social circle involving various family members and rivals. The situation turns dire when a local tragedy occurs, forcing Stephanie to navigate a dangerous landscape of secrets and potential danger as the wedding approaches.

Five years after the first film, Stephanie Smothers, a true crime vlogger, travels to Capri to serve as maid of honor for her friend Emily Nelson, who is marrying Dante Versano of a mafia-connected family. During the trip, they encounter various associates and family members. After a local man, Sean, is found murdered, Stephanie begins to suspect Emily's involvement. She eventually discovers that the woman she believes is Emily is actually Charity, a triplet who has been living under Emily's identity. The plot thickens as Dante is also murdered, and Stephanie is branded the prime suspect. Amidst a web of lies involving a con artist named Linda and a secret romance between Dante and a rival, the truth of the identities is revealed. Charity, obsessed with Emily, orchestrated the murders. In a final confrontation, the truth is revealed: Emily is still alive and hidden in Italy. Stephanie returns home to write a second book, while Emily remains in hiding, eventually being welcomed into the Versano family by Portia.
