Two people who initially connect but end up on opposite sides of a misunderstanding must pretend to be a couple at a wedding in Sydney.
The story
Bea, a law student, and Ben, a bank employee, share a brief but intense connection at a coffee shop. However, a misunderstanding leads them to believe the other is uninterested, causing them to fall out. Months later, they find themselves traveling together to a wedding in Sydney where they are both staying at the same house. To avoid social awkwardness and satisfy their own personal motives, they agree to fake a romantic relationship in front of their friends and family, only to find their feelings becoming complicated as they navigate the festivities together.

After a misunderstanding leads them to believe the other is uninterested, Bea and Ben find themselves traveling to a wedding in Sydney. To avoid conflict, they agree to pretend to be a couple. During the trip, they share intimate moments, including a dance at a boat party and a night together. After a series of complications involving their respective exes, they eventually realize their feelings are genuine. Following a dramatic moment where Ben jumps into the ocean to find her, they reconcile and return to the wedding as a real couple, while the wedding party reveals their scheme to bring them together was staged.
