Full plot (contains spoilers)

After being transported to the Middle Ages, Ash Williams is captured by Lord Arthur's men and taken to his castle. After reclaiming his weapons from a Wise Man, Ash is hailed as a hero and begins a search for the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis to return home. He encounters Sheila and navigates a haunted forest where he faces a mirror-clone of himself. Upon finding the Necronomicon, he fails to recite the final word correctly, allowing a 'Evil Ash' and an army of undead to rise. Ash must lead the local humans in a battle against the undead, eventually defeating the evil clone and saving Sheila. He successfully returns to the present, only to find a lingering Deadite in his local store, which he defeats before reuniting with a coworker.
