The story
The plot follows the flamboyant British secret agent Austin Powers as he confronts his former nemesis Dr. Evil, partners with fellow agent Foxxy Cleopatra, and encounters the criminal mastermind from the past Goldmember. After his father, Nigel Powers, is kidnapped by Goldmember, Austin must seek help from the imprisoned Dr. Evil. The duo must navigate a series of obstacles, including a trip to 1975 and a confrontation in Tokyo, to stop Goldmember's plan to use a tractor beam to pull a meteor into the earth. Austin and his allies must work together to stop the villain and save the world.

Dr. Evil plans to travel back to 1975 to partner with Goldmember, a gold-obsessed villain, to use a tractor beam to pull a meteor into Earth. After Austin Powers arrests Dr. Evil, Austin's father, Nigel, is kidnapped by Goldmember. Austin seeks help from Dr. Evil, who agrees to assist in exchange for being moved to a regular prison. Austin and his partner Foxxy Cleopatra travel to 1975 and later to Tokyo to confront Fat Bastard and Mr. Roboto. They discover a plot involving a tractor beam. During the climax on a submarine, it is revealed that Austin and Dr. Evil are actually brothers. They work together to reverse the tractor beam's polarity, destroying the meteor and resulting in Goldmember's arrest. The film ends with a meta-narrative where the characters appear in a film called 'Austinpussy'.
