Full plot (contains spoilers)
Following the events of Infinity War, the surviving Avengers and their allies attempt to reverse Thanos's actions. After discovering a way to use the Quantum Realm for time travel, they decide to retrieve the Infinity Stones from the past. The team splits up to travel to different points in time, including 2012 New York, 1970 Camp Lehigh, and 2013 Asgard, to collect the stones. During these missions, they face various challenges and even encounter past versions of themselves. In the present, they prepare for the arrival of a 2014 version of Thanos who has been sent forward in time. A final battle ensues where the Avengers, joined by allies from across the galaxy, fight against Thanos's army. Ultimately, Tony Stark makes a final sacrifice to destroy Thanos and his forces. Following the battle, the survivors deal with the aftermath: Thor becomes the king of New Asgard, and Steve Rogers returns the stones to their proper timelines, choosing to remain in the past to live with Peggy Carter.
