A former soldier must navigate a zombie-infested wasteland to retrieve a truck full of money.

The story

In a South Korea overrun by a zombie outbreak and quarantined from the rest of the world, a former soldier is recruited by Chinese mobsters to travel into the wasteland. His mission is to retrieve a truck containing 20 million US dollars. To complete the task, he must navigate a dangerous landscape populated by roaming zombies and a ruthless rogue militia. Along the way, he encounters a family and must decide how to navigate the moral and physical dangers of the wasteland while attempting to secure the cargo and survive the hostile environment.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Following a zombie outbreak, South Korea is quarantined. Four years later, Jung-seok, a former soldier, is hired by mobsters to retrieve a truck of cash from the wasteland. He teams up with Chul-min and others, but they are ambushed by a rogue militia, Unit 631. Jung-seok finds refuge with a family—Min-jung and her daughters—whom he had previously failed to help. Meanwhile, the militia forces Chul-min into a survival game. Jung-seok eventually rescues Chul-min, but Chul-min is killed by a militia leader, Hwang. Jung-seok and Min-jung attempt to escape with the truck, aided by the family. At Incheon Port, they face a final confrontation with Captain Seo of Unit 631. After a series of betrayals and sacrifices, including the death of Elder Kim and the destruction of the militia's plans, Jung-seok and the remaining family members are rescued by a U.N. helicopter, escaping the peninsula.
