The story
In Emerald Bay, Florida, Lt. Mitch Buchannon is a beloved member of an elite lifeguard division known as Baywatch. The team protects the beaches and the bay from various threats. When Mitch discovers a pouch of drugs and meets Matt Brody, an entitled Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer, the two must navigate the complexities of their roles. As they begin to investigate the suspicious activities of a powerful businesswoman, Mitch and Brody must work together to uncover the truth behind a series of mysterious occurrences on the beach, all while facing internal pressure from their superiors and the looming threat of a local drug ring.

In Emerald Bay, Florida, Lt. Mitch Buchannon leads the elite Baywatch lifeguard team. After discovering a drug pouch near a club owned by Victoria Leeds, Mitch meets Matt Brody, an arrogant Olympic swimmer who joins the team. Following a suspicious death involving a local councilman, Mitch and Brody begin investigating Leeds' operations. They discover she is using the club to distribute drugs. After Mitch is fired for overstepping, Brody is promoted to lieutenant. The team eventually infiltrates a party on Leeds' yacht, where they discover her smuggling operation. Brody is captured and held in a cage, but is rescued by the team. In a final confrontation, the team uses fireworks to stop Leeds from escaping by helicopter. The plot concludes with the arrest of the corrupt officials involved and the reinstatement of Mitch, while the new recruits are officially welcomed into the team.
