Full plot (contains spoilers)
Bernd receives an invitation to Blockharz School of Magic, delivered by an owl. He tries to make the letter disappear and ignore the invitation, but Chili and Briegel find out about it and decide that the three of them will set off together. First, they go to the shop of Fritz the Jolly Wizard King, where they stock up on the necessary magical supplies. After a detour via the Caribbean due to a problem at Erfurt Central Station, they arrive at the school of magic and meet the confused wizard teacher Dumdidum, who is supposed to teach them. They soon realize that someone is up to no good at the school: He Who Must Not Be Named, Lord Vlmzdtschwczcz, who is searching for a magical amulet. Since the fate of world domination is at stake, Bernd, Briegel, and above all Chili rise to the challenge. After a long battle in the castle’s underground chambers, Bernd defeats the dark wizard by asking him his name. But the wizard cannot pronounce it himself, and finally—out of sheer rage—breaks his wand, so he is beamed into the prison dimension (USS Bumblebee Bush). At the end, Chili and Briegel also try to say the unpronounceable name, and Bernd bids the audience farewell with the words: “Only two people don’t go mad when they try to say the name. Exactly! Those who are already mad.”
