When twin brothers swap roles, each finds unexpected changes in the other’s life.
The story
Matthias Pretschke, a speech therapist, husband, and father of two, is facing a marriage on the verge of collapse. His twin brother Tom Senger unexpectedly appears, and Petra mistakes him for Matthias. The brothers decide to use the confusion to help one another by temporarily switching roles. Tom, an actor, begins to enjoy life in his brother’s place, while Petra discovers new sides to the man she believes is her husband. Meanwhile, Matthias must navigate Tom’s professional and personal world, including Tom’s disappointed fellow actor and ex-girlfriend, Pola.

Matthias Pretschke is a speech therapist, a husband, and the father of two children. His marriage to his wife, Petra, is on the verge of falling apart. Unexpectedly, his twin brother Tom Senger turns up, and Petra immediately mistakes him for her husband. The twin brothers take advantage of the situation to help each other out, temporarily stepping into each other’s roles. Tom, who is an actor by profession, takes a liking to his new role, and Petra discovers new sides to “her husband.” Matthias, in turn, has to deal “as Tom” with Pola, Tom’s disappointed fellow actor and ex-girlfriend. In the end, both Matthias’s married and family life and Tom’s professional and personal life get a new lease on life.
