The film portrays three couples in romantic relationships and marriages who are going through a crisis and trying to solve their problems through therapy. While the couples are freely improvised by actors, the therapists they meet are “real” therapists, who engage with their clients as they do every day in their therapeutic work. The setting for these therapy sessions is clearly artificial, but the couples’ problems are drawn from real life.
