Cécile secretly falls for him, but he ignores her and looks down on her intellectual side. At her university residence, she meets new neighbor Alex, whose efforts to attract wealthy men introduce Cécile to the “tribe of bimbos”—women who use their physical assets to seduce men—and a new subject for her thesis.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Cécile, a very serious ethnology student at the University of Nice, is finishing her thesis on the last primitive people still in existence today. But the young woman and the ethnology department where she is a doctoral student are humiliated by this people’s modernization, which makes the front page of every newspaper. To erase this failure, Cécile has no choice but to keep a low profile and become the assistant to her thesis supervisor, who is writing a book on Māori culture. The young student secretly falls in love with her new supervisor, Laurent Gaspard, who happens to be very fond of pretty girls. He completely ignores her and looks down on her intellectual side. Then, at the university residence, Cécile meets Alex, who has just moved into a room in the same corridor. Alex is a voluptuous woman who flaunts her physical assets and ingénue style to attract wealthy men and have the world at her feet. Through Alex, Cécile discovers the tribe of bimbos: women who use all their physical assets to seduce men. This will be the subject of her thesis, and Cécile will soon create a new persona, Brigitte, to study these women’s ways, even though she knows nothing about seduction.
