The story

In the opening scene, we see an orange tabby cat running to a beautiful woman in white, and they watch together as a church burns before them. We then move to the desert, where Reverend John Keyes (Roy Thinnes) and his wife Lorna (Lynn Loring) are stranded, and lie dying beside their disabled wagon. Three strangers, Caleb (Ray Milland), Joseph (Hank Worden) and Deliverance (Yvette Mimieux) come to their rescue, carrying them to the town of San Melas.
