In the wake of King T'Challa's death, the leaders of Wakanda must fight to protect their nation from internal and external threats.

The story

Following the death of King T'Challa, the nation of Wakanda faces intense pressure from the international community to share its vibranium resources. Amidst this turmoil, Queen Ramonda urges her daughter Shuri to continue her research into the heart-shaped herb to find a successor for the Black Panther mantle. However, Shuri is hesitant to embrace the role. Simultaneously, a mysterious underwater civilization led by the formidable Namor emerges as a threat, demanding that Wakanda hand over the technology used to detect vibranium. Shuri and her allies must navigate these escalating tensions while grappling with the loss of their king and the safety of their people.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

After T'Challa's death, Wakanda faces pressure to share its vibranium. A conflict arises when Namor, leader of the underwater kingdom of Talokan, demands the scientist behind a vibranium detector. Shuri and Okoye confront the scientist, Riri Williams, and are taken underwater by Namor's forces. Following a failed defense, Ramonda is killed during an attack on Wakanda. Shuri eventually uses a remnant of the herb to gain superhuman abilities and dons a new Black Panther suit. She leads a counter-offensive against Namor, eventually reaching a peaceful alliance after a vision of Ramonda. The film concludes with Shuri establishing the future of the mantle and a mid-credits scene revealing that Nakia and T'Challa had a son, Toussaint, whom Nakia has been raising in secret.
