Blackbeard wreaks havoc whilst looking for Captain Kidd's treasure, and his dark presence causes controversy in the port town of New Providence (The Bahamas), especially for Governor Charles Eden and his adopted daughter Charlotte, who is being wooed by Lieutenant Robert Maynard.
