A human-vampire hybrid must join forces with a group of vampires to stop a mutant strain from causing a global genocide.

The story

In Prague, Blade searches for his mentor Abraham Whistler, who was thought dead but was instead turned into a vampire. After rescuing and curing Whistler, Blade meets Scud, a gifted new technician. A pandemic is turning vampires into "Reapers," primal, mutant creatures with a highly infectious bite that threatens both humans and vampires. To combat the Reapers, Blade is forced into an uneasy alliance with the Bloodpack, an elite group of vampires. Together, they must navigate a dangerous landscape to stop the spread of the mutation before it leads to a global catastrophe.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

After rescuing and curing his mentor Abraham Whistler, Blade joins forces with the Bloodpack—an elite group of vampires—to combat 'Reapers,' a mutant strain of vampires created by Eli Damaskinos. The group discovers the Reapers are immune to traditional vampire weaknesses. During a raid on a vampire nightclub, they encounter the Reapers and the first mutant, Jared Nomak. Blade eventually faces Nomak and the mastermind Damaskinos. Amidst the conflict, several members of the Bloodpack are killed or transformed. In the final confrontation at Damaskinos's stronghold, Blade defeats the traitorous Scud and the formidable Reinhardt. Nyssa betrays her father, Damaskinos, and is subsequently infected by Nomak. Blade manages to defeat Nomak, who chooses to end his own suffering. The film concludes with Blade finding a moment of peace with Nyssa before she succumbs to the sun, and later tracking down the vampire Rush in London.
