Full plot (contains spoilers)
After discovering their daughters' pact to lose their virginity on prom night, parents Lisa, Mitchell, and Hunter go on a wild journey to stop them. They intercept messages, decipher emoji codes, and eventually track the girls to a lake house and a hotel. Along the way, the parents face personal crises: Mitchell struggles with his daughter's maturity, Hunter deals with guilt over his divorce, and Lisa fears her only child's independence. At the hotel, the girls' experiences vary; Sam decides she doesn't want to have sex with her date Chad, while Kayla limits her intimacy with Connor. Mitchell confronts Kayla, leading to a heartfelt reconciliation. Hunter has a tender moment with Sam, who comes out to him as a lesbian. Lisa watches Julie and Austin share a loving moment and chooses to let them be. The parents eventually celebrate their daughters' futures. Three months later, the parents are pranked by the girls via group text before receiving a final 'I love you.'
