The story

A racehorse trainer, Steve Rowan, is forced to sell one of his favorites, Galaxy, to a crooked bookie, Joe Montgomery. Steve is still the trainer, but quits after Joe fixes the race by bribing a jockey to disrupt Galaxy's race.
