Full plot (contains spoilers)
Two brothers, Moke and JD, rob a warehouse, but only JD is caught and imprisoned, where he strikes a deal with Officer Farful. Moke loses his job due to his criminal past. Farful eventually tracks JD down and demands the location of stolen emeralds. The brothers go on a road trip and find their mother, who abandoned them 30 years ago. She claims to be dying and tells them about emeralds buried with her former partner, Glen. The trio uses an excavator to dig up the body and retrieve the emeralds, narrowly escaping golf players. Moke discovers JD sabotaged his job. During a confrontation with Farful, the mother flees with the emeralds. After a series of chases and fights, the mother sells the emeralds for cash. The brothers track her to an abandoned mall where Farful arrives with a gun. JD plants pepper spray in a bag, blinding Farful, who then dies when a Christmas tree falls on him. The mother confesses she isn't actually dying. Moke gives Farful his share of the cash in exchange for his brother's gun. A year later, the brothers visit their mother in jail. JD reveals he kept one extra emerald for himself.
