Full plot (contains spoilers)

Adam Jones, a disgraced chef whose career in Paris was ruined by his behavior and drug use, moves to London to seek redemption at a restaurant owned by his mentor's associate, Tony Balerdi. Adam is a perfectionist who demands excellence from his staff. He faces opposition from former colleagues, including the jealous Michel and the talented but dismissive Helene. After a successful review from critic Simone, Tony hires Adam as head chef on the condition of regular drug testing. During the journey toward a third Michelin star, Adam deals with his past, including a debt to a drug dealer and a complicated relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Anne Marie. After a series of setbacks, including a sabotaged dinner service and a physical altercation with his dealer's thugs, Adam finds clarity through a confrontation with his rival, Montgomery Reece. Ultimately, after reconciling with his team and finding personal peace, Adam leads his kitchen to successfully earn the third Michelin star.
