Full plot (contains spoilers)
On one side is Dan Letellier, a young unemployed man willing to do anything to get a job. On the other is Paul Tardel, CEO of an advertising agency. Their meeting, and the young man’s audacity, will bring about major changes for both men and for the profession. Tardel’s dismissal of Letellier will drive the young upstart to set up his own agency and compete with his former boss, using an unusual idea in the world of advertising: comparing products and promoting only those that deserve it—in short, telling the truth about the products they are trying to sell.
