The story
Maria is a high-end call girl hired by Mouros to seduce Meireles, the mayor of Vilanova, and persuade him to authorize a multinational company's upscale tourist development. At the same time, Judiciary Police detectives Madeira and Neves uncover evidence of corruption and begin investigating the mayor. Their cases collide when Madeira realizes that Maria—the woman he loves—is the bait in the scheme, putting his investigation and personal feelings in direct conflict.

Maria (Soraia Chaves), a high-end call girl, is hired by Mouros (Joaquim de Almeida) to seduce Meireles (Nicolau Breyner), the mayor of Vilanova, in an attempt to get him to authorize a multinational company to build a high-quality tourist development. Meanwhile, Madeira (Ivo Canelas) and Neves (José Raposo), detectives with the Judiciary Police, uncover evidence of corruption and begin investigating Meireles. Everything becomes even more complicated when Madeira discovers that Maria, the love of his life, is the bait that will force the politician to give in.
