Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 1995, a Kree soldier named Vers, suffering from amnesia, is captured by Skrulls and crash-lands in Los Angeles. She is found by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Nick Fury and Phil Coulson. While investigating her origins, she discovers she is actually Carol Danvers, a human pilot who gained superpowers after an accident involving a light-speed engine. She teams up with Fury and her former friend Maria Rambeau to find the truth. They learn that the Skrulls are refugees fleeing a war with the Kree. Danvers eventually confronts the Kree and removes a limiter on her powers, allowing her to reach her full potential. She defeats the Kree forces and helps the Skrulls find a new home. The film concludes with Fury establishing a plan to find more heroes like her, and a mid-credits scene shows her reuniting with the Avengers' circle.
