The story
Rui, Hitomi, and Ai Kisugi run a café while also working as art thieves under the name Cat’s Eye. As they attempt to steal a painting made by their father, who disappeared when they were children, they become caught in a blackmail scheme involving a Chinese crime syndicate led by a woman who believes herself to be an empress. The organization says the sisters can see their father again if they return the painting. Their predicament is complicated by Inspector Toshio Utsumi, who is handling the case and is Hitomi’s fiancé.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Rui, Hitomi, and Ai Kisugi are three pretty sisters who run a café. But apart from this somewhat profitable business, they are very active art thieves under the name Cat’s Eye... As they try to steal a painting made by their father, they find themselves facing a strange blackmail scheme involving a sort of Chinese crime syndicate headed by a pretty madwoman who thinks she is an empress. If Cat’s Eye “returns” the painting to the organization, they will see their father again, after he disappeared when they were children. But things are not that simple, especially since Inspector Toshio Utsumi, who is in charge of the case, is also Hitomi’s fiancé... Ai, in turn, falls in love with a young, shy computer engineer who has come all the way from Hong Kong, but the young man has a terrible secret...
