Full plot (contains spoilers)
At a factory that is about to close, where only a few people remain, Jacques, a young technician, arrives to dismantle the last machine. As he works, he gets to know the workers, who spend their time chatting and walking around while waiting for the week to end. Despite its sparse narrative, the film focuses on Jacques’s attraction to Donand, the factory owner. During a conversation, Jacques tells Donand that he is gay, but Donand does not react. Meanwhile, Jacques talks with Louis, the factory’s oldest worker, who suggests that he not attach too much importance to Donand. Jacques then explains that he knows very well it will lead nowhere, but that he cannot control his feelings. In the final scene, in the factory changing room, Jacques asks Donand to have a relationship with him. Donand refuses, insisting that he is not gay, then leaves Jacques alone. Louis then arrives and offers to console Jacques by sleeping with him. Jacques refuses, insisting that it is not because of Louis’s age or weight, but simply because he does not feel like it.
